Hi everyone and welcome to AnimexMusic! I am Gosa, party leader of this beautiful place where we all like to gather and share in our love of anime music. Many of us here have been very passionate about both of these things from a very young age, and would like no better than to share these passions with the world and connect with friends just like you.
I began watching anime almost as far back as I can remember; from the early days of Pokemon, InuYasha, Cowboy Bebop, and DragonBall Z. It was love at first sight and I never looked back! The worlds that were sprawled about before me engulfed my screen and brought a sense of fascination in ways nothing else quite did.
I was also into drawing for about as far back as I can remember as well. As I grew, I began to draw art often reminiscent of the worlds I had seen, but over the years I began to realize that the art wasn’t the only thing that made these worlds special.
I noticed another thing that truly brought these worlds to life: the music. Many people don’t give this aspect of ‘visual’ media the respect and appreciation it deserves, but I did, and I’m sure you did too. You are here after all. Well anyways, from there I began downloading soundtrack after soundtrack, learning to play instruments, and even began composing music of my own.
There’s an interesting thing about the eastern music industry as it relates to the western music industry. Whereas, in the west, there’s more of an obsession with a singer-songwriter culture in which the artist must produce every aspect of the music – from the composition, the lyrics, and the performance; in eastern music, there’s much more specialization. One person will act as a composer, another as a songwriter, and one as the performer; and the difference between these two methodologies is night and day.
I began to listen – and I mean truly listen – to the music that was entering my ears. As my understanding of this music and culture grew more refined, I began to deeply appreciate this fact. Not only that, but I wanted to share it. *Hint That’s where you come in!
Our mission is to share this understanding, appreciation, and passion with the world and, most importantly, with you – our friends. We’re here for you. You are here for anime music, right? Well, guess what? We want to give you access to the latest and greatest albums, soundtracks, and the gear that will offer you the greatest experience in listening to them. Who knew!? Now, that’s what we call your music, plus ultra! We also want to give back to the people that dedicate their lives towards creating the masterpieces we all love.
If you ever need a helping hand or if you have any questions, feel free to leave them below and the team here will be more than happy to help you out.
